On Wednesday 25th May, I hosted a private beach clean at Great Yarmouth South beach for staff at Gardline as part of their 'Wellness Wednesdays' program.
We were also joined by staff from Sea Life and a group of students and their team leaders from the East Coast College (as part of the Prince's Trust program).
29 volunteers in total, collecting 75.5kg of rubbish which filled 9 bags!
I wasn't sure what to expect as I'd never done a beach clean this far south in Great Yarmouth... but it just goes to show from what we picked up in just 2 hours how badly this area needs our attention...
Unfortunately there's only one me and it'd be great to have other people take the initiative to organise regular group beach cleans, even if it's just 1 a month. #TogetherWeCanMakeADifference
