On Thursday 10th February I took a half day off work and hosted a private beach clean for the year 6 students from St Nicholas Priory School.
Around 60 students and 8 of their teachers removed a total of 32.75kg of litter from the beach at Great Yarmouth!
It was great to see how enthusiastic the majority of the children were to get involved!
They've been learning how to look after our beaches and as part of it they had a writing project to write me a letter asking for their year group to be involved in a beach clean. Their wishes were granted and it was a pleasure to contribute to their education in the subject.
