On Sunday 7th November, I hosted a beach clean at Gorleston-on-Sea! The last public beach clean I hosted was 25th September, it's been a while... The other ones were private events and a river clean!
I was joined by 22 volunteers, where we collected a total of 21.25kg
The wind wasn't too bad in the end, even though it was forecast to be 29mph! We had to manoeuvre around the "Glagoon" (Gorleston Lagoon) that has reappeared...
I found a bunch of sparklers that were scattered around a small area, all buried with just the metal handles sticking out! And an old Doritos crisp packet that I could just make out the expiry date as being 02.12.05.
All rubbish was consolidated into 3 large bin bags and disposed of in the large GYBC bin that was along the promenade.
Thank you to Bruce for making a generous donation towards the cause.
