Yesterday afternoon for the Platinum Jubilee, I was joined by 11 volunteers at Caister, where we collected 9kg of rubbish!
The community pulled together to tidy up the area and beach around Caister Lifeboat Station ahead of the evening's Jubilee celebrations organised by CPC & CVLS!
It was great to hear from the volunteers that the beach is looking clean and not much was actually collected today (9kg)...
It just goes to show that keeping on top of it by running monthly beach cleans is paying off and/or people are more aware of binning their rubbish (as they should)
It was also great to meet Laura from Dereham Community Litter Pickers!
