On Sunday 29th May, I hosted a beach clean at North Denes Sand Dunes in Great Yarmouth.
I was joined by 42 volunteers (19 were McDonalds staff & their children).
Unfortunately the weather was just too windy and at times nippy for those that came along for the yoga afterwards. Hopefully another time this summer!
We collected 39kg of rubbish plus a 14.5kg fence block and a rusty triangle temporary road sign frame!
A broken flying ring was amongst the rubbish! There was one particular area where there was 13 cigarette packets and 3 lighters found! When I was there last month I found 4 cigarette packets in the same area... Because the shrubbery has been cut back it's exposed a lot of hidden litter...
Also found was a Nokia mobile phone... A post went out to hopefully reach the owner.
Check out Norfolk Beach Cleans Facebook page events section for upcoming beach clean dates to sign up!
Well done to everyone on today's efforts! Thank you!
